Ok - man what a day!!! Here's my plan of action for this trip - use as many B1G1 (buy one - get one free) coupons as possible to get my total over $50 so I could use the $5/$50 coupon that's out there... There's a few snapples missing from the photo (found in the back of the tahoe tonight) and some packs of gum that found their way into kids' pockets...
One thing I paid $2 per package for was bacon made out of BEEF! Never heard of it, can't wait to try it. (I got 3 packages)
2 transactions - grand total OOP: $16.45 Total coupons used: $141.63
Also ran to CVS - Wanted to take advantage of the Purex Sale ( I didn't have purex coupons though - darn it ) and use up my $10 ECB... I just haven't felt like CVS'ing lately, I'm not sure why though... So here's how I did
I used 2 B1G1 Candy Bars Coupons (.77 ea)1 $1 off 2 Gold Emblem Candy (Pixie Stix were clearanced to .25)
1 $1 off 2 Gold Emblem Pretzel Coupon (.79 ea)
1 $3 off ANY Lumene Coupon ($2.99)
4 Purex @ $6.99 (B1G1 - so it's like I paid for 2)
1 "FREE" Kashi Item ($4.29)
1 $5 off $25 Coupon
1 $10 ECB
Total OOP: $1.16 Total Saved: $43.25

Last stop was at the Kroger! Just wanted to get the Playtex tampons while they were still "cheap" since I never seem to remember to stockpile these.
Total OOP: $6.65
I don't know how much I saved, I can't find that receipt... Somewhere around $30 maybe?
The Marcal was free though, Playtex was $1.99 after $1/1 coupon, and the hotdogs were like .40 each or something like that...

Where were the snapple coupons from?
ReplyDeleteGreat shopping trip. I haven't been CVSing either...dont know why either. Don't know if I am burned out, stocked up enough or just bored with it.
ReplyDeleteWhere was that 1st trip to? The one where you got all the snapple? Also I was curious too as to where you got those coupons? I haven't been cutting coupons for a few weeks and I'm behind on all my boards so I have no clue what the good deals are this week. Looks like CVS has a nice Sun/Mon sale coming up though.
ReplyDeleteTina
I count 18 Snapples in the pic, which is 9 B1G1 coupons. How'd you manage to get so many? Limit 2 per comp. Also, have you heard about this Pepsi rebate deal??? Found it at Wags yesterday (first time I've seen it anywhere!).
ReplyDeleteI did all of my Kmart shopping in Plainfield Indiana... I got the Snapple coupons while I was on vacation (Pretty sure it was New Mexico) and I had 11 B1G1 coupons... My cashier didn't enforce the 4 per transaction rule... Pepsi rebate? I'm anti-Walgreens lol... fill me in. I have coupons for b5g1 from my grandmother's local grocery ad in Omaha...
ReplyDeleteThe candy bars were free thx to the Blinkie found at Krogers...
I found the same Kraft Cheese Tearpad, but it's $0.50/1 - which is fine by me.
how did you get the marcal free?
ReplyDeleteI had three of these:
ReplyDeleteFREE Marcal Small Steps, 4-roll Bath Tissue OR 3-roll Regular Towel OR $4.00 off any towel or bath tissue (5/31/09) SS #2 5/17/09
The product is only $3.48
The Pepsi Rebate can be found on the 2nd page of your CVS ad. CVS and Kroger both have Pepsi 2 liter for 4 for $5 and there is a $5 rebate on 4.
ReplyDeleteHmm... I have some coupons from Omaha that are for b5g1 pepsi 12pk - I don't think I'll be using them... I think I have one or two...
ReplyDeleteI was thinking of maybe using at the Kmart since it's $1.80 a pk (5 for $9) and I figured it would double...
I'll have to actually look at my ads then, huh. :)
So if you use a BOGO coupon during double coupon days, you get both free???
ReplyDeleteAs long as the coupon is coded so that the cashier selects 2 items, and the coupon is $2 or less... yes. At least it has worked that way for me...
ReplyDeleteHere's the Pepsi rebate deal:
ReplyDeleteOn the Pepsi display, there's a tearpad for a rebate good thru 06/17/09 (post mark by 07/17/09). Buy 4 - 2L bottles of Pepsi products, cut upc from bottle and mail in with rebate form and receipt and they send you a $5 rebate check. This was actually just at the display at Walgreens. Items do not have to be purchased there tho! I bought 4 bottles on sale last week for $1 each. Spent $4, getting $5 check! I've seen the display at my local grocery store as well, but haven't seen anything on any blog, which surprised me!
